Hyper Loderunner was probably the thing that inspired me to make games, because it had such a cool level editor. So I always wanted to remake it myself. I originally set about doing this with qbasic, unfortunately i’ve lost the disc with that game on it
but it was awesome, and one day I shall remake it’s awesomeness in DarkBasic…
The Qbasic Munchy game was better than this one in many many ways. For one, it had a 2player option. And granted, playing with 2 people would be very impractical, it allowed puzzles to be made where you had to use 2 characters in conjucnction. Like Lost Vikings or such. Also, the game had an option where you could pick up boots and start jumping. Also, the fact there was a “shadow” effect. Making you only able to see a few squares around your character. It was great
Though, the major improvement that game had over this one, was the “themes”. In this munchy game, all you have is a collection of, mostly metallic looking squares. In the Qbasic version, I had about a dozen variations on the same blocks. They all did the same thing of course, but the changes in appearance vastly improved the games appearance. I had themes like “Future”, “Candy”, “Cavern” and stuff… it was awesome
why’d I have to lose the disk… Oh well, there’s always the sequal

PPG Collection
Download: ZIP – 6.90MB
Created with: Mostly DIV Games Studios
A collection of old games I made, based on the Powerpuff Girls
None of these games (except the GU demo) will work in WindowsXP
The entire collection of my Powerpuff Games is sorted into one zip for your convenience. All of the games except for the GU Beta were created in DIV Games Studios. GU Beta was made in DarkBasic classic. The following games are included
The PPGames
A simple name… a collection of small mini-games. One per girl. If you complete all three PPGames, then you unlock the RRB mini-games… and when you unlock that..? Powerpuff events include a scrolling shooter for Blossom, a flying demon-slaughter for Buttercup and Bubbles must rescue citizens from a burning building within a time limit.
PPG: Too hip to be square
A sliding tile game. Put the PPG Pictures together within a time limit.
PPG: Beta Platformer
A demo level of a platform game I started work on. My computer at the time was too limited to actually run the game, so it was unable to be finished. It might be recreated eventually.
PPG: Galactic Unity Beta
The first few levels of the PPG RPG I started.

Shoot-em-ups
This contains three games, Allies, ARE and Big Rocks in Space
Allies is an awesome little shootemup and the first game I created in DIV, you control a ship or a mecha (one is stronger, one is faster) you must shoot down the alien hordes, which will drop bonuses. Some of the bonuses will call allies from behind, who will aid you in shooting down the alien hordes.
Cards
This is a little card game I thought up years back. I know nothing of card games, so as far as I know, this is an original game. You place a wager of cash, the CPU turns over a card and you must decide with how many cards you will get a higher score. 1,2 or 3. If it is 1 card, you of course get a higher turnover from your bet…
Nibbles
This was made in under a day, as a practice game to see if making Galactic Unity would be possible in 3D. Fairly simple snake game, control the snake, eat the glowy spheres and your tail will grow longer, don’t crash into your tail or you die. There’s a few different “worlds” that are slightly different, had the game been given more time each world would be unique and cool…
Agent ManPac
This was created with the DBpro demo, hence the watermark. Again, practice. I wanted to see how better DBpro was to DBclassic… this game helped me decide to buy it
The idea behind this game, was to make a pacman style game with the free models that were available to me. I found a soldier and an alien model for free and used them. So… it’s kind of Pacman + ThirdPerson Shooter… run around mazes, avoiding the aliens that have replaced the ghosts… power pellets will give you ammo instead of making you eat the aliens, so then you can shoot down the aliens. Game comes with level editor
